“West coast: turn on Idol!!” Lambert tweeted to his nearly 1.5 million followers. “#NeverCloseOurEyes up in a couple minutes.”
Earlier in the week, Lambert performed on Good Morning America, where he discussed Trespassing's sound.
“I think funk is something that's universal. You know, I think funk exists now, today on the radio with dance music. It's a more modernized version, but if you go back to the classics, you know, disco and funk, it's timeless. And so I really pulled a lot from that because I feel that anybody, no matter who you are, no matter how old you are, girl, guy, American, if you're international I think everybody loves a good beat,” he told host Robin Roberts.
