Darren Criss says it would be “cool” to succeed Daniel Radcliffe on Broadway. But the actor best know for playing out-and-proud Blaine Anderson on the Fox musical-comedy Glee cautioned that “it's definitely not confirmed by any means.”

Nikki Finke's Deadline Hollywood first reported that Criss was negotiating a three-week stint to succeed Radcliffe as the corporate ladder-climbing J. Pierrepont Finch in the Broadway musical How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.

Criss would need to miss an episode and a half of season three of Glee to make the commitment.

In an interview with TV Guide, Criss said the deal is far from closed.

“People keep asking me about it, and it's kind of cool that that's out there in the world, but I cannot confirm anything at all. I mean, yeah, that would be really cool. That's certainly a wonderful role and a great show, and it would certainly be exciting to be a part of it. … But it's not confirmed by any means.”

The 24-year-old actor has found stardom romancing gay student Kurt Hummel (played by Chris Colfer) on Glee.

On being upgraded from a guest star to a series regular in the upcoming season, Criss said: “I've been invited to this party that was swinging before I got there. So to feel entitled to anything at this party is absurd. I'm just happy that they're having me around.”
