Joe Jonas Tells 'Details' Magazine: I'm Not Gay
Singer Joe Jonas has denied rumors that he's gay.
“There's nothing wrong with being gay,” Joe told Details magazine in a wide-ranging interview, “but I'm not.”
Joe and brothers Nick and Kevin formed the pop-rock group Jonas Brothers and recorded their first studio album in 2006. The three brothers also starred in cabler Disney Channel's Jonas L.A.
Joe often fans the rumors of his sexuality himself.
For example, when the Details interviewer asked who would break up with Joe, he answered with a laugh: “Some guy.”
And he posted a video where he's dressed up in a leotard and heels dancing to Single Ladies. The spoof has attracted more than 25 million views on YouTube. (The video is embedded in the right panel of this page.)
Joe is dating 24-year-old actress Ashley Greene, who plays Alice Cullen in the big screen adaptations of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight vampire romance novels.
In January, a blogger confronted Joe with the rumor that Greene was his decoy girlfriend. He responded, “You gotta have some respect, man.”
The 21-year-old entertainer told the magazine that his current relationship “feels good.”
“I think what works about it is she really puts my feelings first,” Joe said. “She understands my busy schedule.”
