It looks like Fox is taking a new approach to Glee's fifth season.
We already knew that Heather Morris wouldn't be returning to the hit musical dramedy as a series regular, but now TVLine reports that three other original cast members — Mark Salling, Amber Riley, and Harry Shum, Jr. — will NOT be returning to the hit TV show as series regulars as well.
Brittany (Morris) said her sad goodbyes at the end of season four to go off and study at MIT. Puck (Salling), Mike (Shum), and Mercedes (Riley) have all already graduated from McKinley. In essence, the move does make a bit of sense.
However, TVLine does also note that Morris, Salling, Riley, and Shum may return as occasional guest stars, much like Morris and Dianna Agron, who plays Quinn.
So what does this mean for the show? Probably a whole lot more Kurt and Blaine.
Are you surprised by Glee's latest casting news? Do you think you'll still tune in for season five?
