Chris Colfer says his coupling with Darren Criss on Glee is like Lucy and Ricky.
The 21-year-old actor discussed his career and upcoming plot twists on the Fox musical-comedy during a New Yorker Festival panel on Saturday night at the SVA Theater.
Colfer, who plays gay McKinley High student Kurt Hummel, and Criss' Blaine Anderson appear to be enjoying a blissful romance as Glee gets started on its third season.
But the couple is expected to hit turbulence during an upcoming episode when Sebastian (played by Grant Gustin), a gay Dalton Academy Warbler, sets his sights on Blaine.
“I know you know!” Colfer said, referring to the upcoming plot twist.
“I will say that I have never loved Kurt and Blaine more, and I really think, without trying to give us credit that we don't deserve, I really feel like Kurt and Blaine are a modern version of Lucy and Ricky. Oh, I'm Lucy for sure,” he said, with a laugh.
“I'm excited there's finally a lot of development with them,” Colfer added. (The video is embedded in the right panel of this page.)
