It's been a rough week for poor ol' ladykiller Harry Styles. First he takes a shoe to the crotch, and then he's named "Villain of the Year" by a league of British music snobs, i.e. NME, who also named One Direction the "Worst Band."
Thankfully Harry seems to have a sense of humor about it. Though he wasn't able to attend Wednesday evening's NME Awards due performance obligations, he did thank the UK music magazine for the dubious honor. "And thank you to @NME for my award tonight. Gotta take the rough with the smooth eh?"
Unfortunately, dedicated Directioners weren't as willing to laugh it off. "I may be bias (sic) here but NME are dicks," opined one fan. Another chewed NME's virtual ear off: "@nme of course..you gave totally wrong award to our hero, to our angel! Harry isn't a villain and One Direction isn't the worst band!!!"
Harry, who beat out the likes of Psy, Skrillex, Prime Minister David Cameron, Fred Macpherson and Azealia Banks, is no villain, guys: He wasn't even mad when a fan hit him in the nads with a shoe. Dude's practically a hero.
