'Breaking Dawn Pt. 2' Won't End the Same as the Book
August 11th, 2012
Think you know what will happen in the final Twilight movie? Think again! Turns out Stephenie Meyer and co. worked out an ending for Breaking Dawn Pt. 2 that's completely different from the megapopular books.
How different will the movie's ending be? Fans will have to wait to find out. (Lions Gate | Brown Books)
The new Twilight-drenched issue of Entertainment Weekly has a few details, but of course this new finalé is being kept tightly under wraps. According to the magazine, Meyer and screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg "dreamed up" an alternate ending over dinner one night, and they decided it would be perfect for the movie, which is due out Nov. 23. We'll call it a good sign that
Robert Pattinson was impressed.
"When I first read the script, I got to that part and was like, 'What?' And then I had to go back a page. It does it a serious justice," he told EW.
And here's
Kristen Stewart's take: "It's clearly made by someone who really cares. That's why Bill Condon is perfect. Thank God for him."
The revamped ending is sure to pique the curiosity of the book's fans. For those who haven't read it,
[BOOK SPOILER ALERT] the original ending has been criticized for being anticlimactic. It brings four warring factions together in one place only to have Bella ultimately defuse the entire situation with communication, not Vampire fighting.
[END SPOILER]
