Joseph McManners was born December 3, 1992, and lives in Kent, United Kingdom. He was chosen from around 1500 children to play the lead role in the BBC's operatic version of "The Little Prince" despite never having received formal singing lessons.
During rehearsals for "The Little Prince", he was spotted by a talent agent and this led to him being signed to a £2 million 4-album record deal with Sony BMG in 2005. He released his first album, "In Dreams" on December 5th, 2005.
He has also appeared in several theatre productions, and was most recently seen playing Oliver in the BBC's "Celebrate Oliver!"
