Mini Biography
Byron Taylor fell into acting quite by accident at the age of five. He was acting in his school play 'The Frog Prince.' Later that night he was eating in a restaurant when a lady who noticed his talent recommended that his parents register him with a casting agency. He was then selected to star in a TV commercial. By the age of 10, Byron had starred in 3 movies and was presenting his own show on SABC, called 'blue couch.'
Byron educated himself with Brainline, an on line school. He graduated from high school in 2004.
He then set out to travel around the world for a year and filmed his entire experience.
When he arrived back in South Africa in 2005; he started work on producing a television series with the footage he captured on his travels - called Travelling Unplugged.
At the same time he started studying a degree through Unisa.
He graduated from Unisa with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2009.
In 2010 he went to live in England for a year to travel and get some experience in the film and television industry - including dancing in a Bollywood film, working for Future Films and working for ESPN.
2011-2013: Byron is finishing production on his show Travelling Unplugged which has already aired in the Netherlands and has started airing in New Zealand. Travelling Unplugged is due to air in South Africa, Venezuela and Turkey.

Byron named his one dog "Barek" - after his own character from his movie "Berserker".

Byron loves animals and has: 7 dogs, 6 birds, 2 rabbits, 2 chickens, 2 tortoises and 2 guinea pigs.

He has completed 6 Dusi Canoe Marathons - a 120 km, 3 day adventurous canoe race down a huge river in South Africa.

While he was a presenter in his youth, Byron once interviewed Nelson Mandela.

Byron traveled alone at 17 years old for an entire year right around the world and filmed his entire experience.
