Amber Rose Tamblyn was born May 14, 1983 in Santa Monica, California. Amber caught an agent's eye at the age of ten after a performance in "Pippi Longstocking". She has appeared in Live Nude Girls (1995) and Johnny Mysto: Boy Wizard (1997). In addition, her most popular role has been the role of "Emily Bowen-Quartermaine" of the popular soap General Hospital (1963). She originated the role of "Emily" in 1995. Amber is the daughter of actor Russ Tamblyn and singer and artist Bonnie Tamblyn. In addition, Amber writes poetry and has been published in the San Francisco publications, "Cups" and "Poetry USA". Amber also enjoys singing, dancing, and theater in addition to her life on General Hospital (1963).

Amber suffers from arachnophobia. When a scene in General Hospital (1963) called for her character Emily to pick up her pet tarantula, Amber went to the writers and asked them if they could change the scene. She also suggested that the spider be killed off and Emily be given a rat, the sort of pet Amber herself had at home.

Her dad, Russ Tamblyn, danced with her in a song-and-dance sketch, during his one-shot guest appearance on General Hospital (1963).

She is the goddaughter of actor Dean Stockwell. Stockwell and her father, Russ Tamblyn, appeared together in the film, The Boy with Green Hair (1948), and in the Quantum Leap (1989) episode, Quantum Leap: Thou Shalt Not... - February 2, 1974 (1989).

Convinced a homeless man to pose as her father so she could get her navel pierced. It soon became infected and she had to confess to her parents. The story inspired an episode of Joan of Arcadia (2003).

Appears in the Twin Peaks (1990) Special Edition DVD special features. She and her father Russ Tamblyn tell a story about his appearance at a "Twin Peaks" event at which Amber had the cast sign her shoes.
