Diego Mercado is an up and coming American actor, teen model and adaptive athlete with Puerto-Rican & European roots. After being featured in a 2016 viral workout video with a Marine Corps veteran Amputee, Diego became an internet sensation known for his amazing fitness talent and ability to motivate others. Diego was quickly sought after and cast for multiple reality TV shows including an un-aired television pilot. Although he had been featured in many projects and media outlets worldwide, Diego began as a serious actor in 2019 and in 2020 landed his first movie role when he was cast as Steven Gonzalez in the Netflix Original feature film, Mixtape, also making him the first teen amputee actor to be cast in a Netflix original movie. Diego is an avid advocate of the military veterans, and the first known teen fitness enthusiast to train with the US Army, SWAT and DEA in addition to supporting the differently-abled community. Diego Mercado is co-represented by Model's Management Group-NY, International Talent Agency-LA and Gamut Management-NY.
