Mini Biography
Born in England, on the 30th October 1987, Rushton began his musical career in the British Pop Rock band Son of Dork after being scouted by Ex-Busted guitarist James Bourne. The band went on to release a single album before disbanding due to creative differences in 2008. Unfazed by split, Rushton pursued a solo career in America and was soon recognized by Hollywood Records who signed him almost immediately. Shortly after, he wrote and performed the theme for the new hit Disney Channel series The Suite Life on Deck as well as contributing to the soundtrack of many other newly released films.
Trivia
Was the bassist of Son Of Dork, alongside James Bourne. Also plays the guitar and drums.
His favorite band is Green Day.
One of his dads is an Elvis impersonator, his other dad drives a Harley.
Rushton is still friends with all the Son of Dor and Mr Cheerful members.
Originally auditioned for a guitarist in Son of Dork but band front man James Bourne decided he would be a better Bass player.
Became friends with Hannah Montana star, Miley Cyrus on the set of Hannah Montana: The Movie.
He is a fan of American Rock Band Green Day.
Before signing on to Hollywood Records, Rushton was originally under his fellow Son of Dork band member, James Bourne's Record Label: Sic Puppy Records.
Rushton was a member of two pop punk bands, Mr Cheerful and Son of Dork, before moving to America to pursue a Solo Career.
