Mini Biography
Scott Chong Hillyard is fluent in both English and Mandarin which has enabled him to play a number of different roles for Channel 5, Channel 8, OKTO (formerly Kid's Central) and Channel U, as well as taking a leading role in a Mandarin DVD movie opposite Chen Shucheng.
He began acting when he was 9 years old, as one of the Main Cast in a Channel 8 Kids's drama series, "Fly With Me, Buddy". Around this time he also began singing Mandarin songs as a way to improve his Chinese which led him to one of the first of many performances on stage - participating in "Green Apple" (Children's Superstar). He further developed his singing skills through vocal lessons at the Lee Wei Song School of Music, and in addition, learnt to play both the piano and the keyboards.
He has regularly appeared in Leading and Main Cast roles in numerous Kids's Drama series on both Channel 8 and OKTO/Kid's Central. Amongst the most popular shows have been "Sketch", seasons 1 & 2, "Ubin Boy and Sketch" One Hour Special, "School House Rockz" telemovie, in which he also sang a Solo song as well as performed several Dance numbers, "For Sentimental Reasons" telemovie with Richard Liu Qian Yi, and the Chinese shows, "Snap", "Fly With Me, Buddy", "Little Red Dancing Shoes", and "My Little Guardian", "Truly Friendship", "Cheerful Drum Beat" and "Yamashita's Treasure". He was also part of the Main Cast in Channel 5's hit comedy "First Class" seasons 1 & 2.
