Helen Flanagan was born in 1990, in Bolton, Greater Manchester. She started taking drama lessons from the age of 5 at Carol Godby's Theatre Workshop in Bury. She was in numerous adverts, before landing the part of Rosie Webster in Coronation Street, in 2000. She expressed a great passion and talent for acting at a very early age.

Has a tattoo of Marilyn Monroe's face on the underside of her left forearm.
Participated in the 12th series of I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! (2002) in 2012, finishing 7th out of 12 celebrities.

In a relationship with footballer Scott Sinclair since 2009. They have two daughters together - Matilda Jessica Sinclair (b. June 29, 2015) and Delilah Ruby Sinclair (b. June 22, 2018).
Was seven months pregnant with her daughter Delilah when she took maternity leave from Coronation Street (1960).
Delivered her daughters naturally; Matilda's birth required an epidural and episiotomy whereas Delilah was delivered via water birth. Flanagan also breastfed both of her daughters.
